The container as a storage box is only the beginning. A steel frame with standardised dimensions can be glazed, insulated, piped and stacked. These are the applications we see most often among our customers.

Commercial

Site office with kitchenette and WC. Gatehouse at the works entrance. Break room for shift operations. Workshop with three-phase power. Archive for files that have to be kept dry. Sales room at weekly markets.

Catering and events

Snack bar container with serving hatch and extract air, drinks counter for festivals, sanitary facility for events, ticket booth at the entrance.

Private

Garden store with shelving system, garage for a motorcycle or classic car, sauna, workshop next to the house, holiday home with bathroom and kitchen.

What matters when converting

As soon as people spend longer periods in the container, insulation, ventilation and electrics are no longer extras but basic equipment. The ground is just as important: a container needs a load-bearing, level bearing surface at four points, otherwise the frame warps and the doors no longer close.

Whether a change of use requires a permit depends on the federal state, the duration of use and the location. Clarify this with your local authority before ordering.
